I take far too long to make sets. I've been working on one or two for several weeks. I made this one in two days, just to publish something.
 
So it is simple, and i'm hardly satisfied. Oh well.

The Loreley is a siren who is said to inhabit a particular mountainous cliff on the edge of the Rhine river, in Germany. Like all sirens, she lures bargemen and sailors to their deaths with her seductive song, drawing them closer and closer until they crash and sink.
 
The legend probably arose because of the dangerous conditions of the river near her rock. The invisible sandbars, the sudden tight bends in the river, all made the spot a source of fear, and all too often death, for the poor boatmen who crossed the rock of the Loreley.

I feel kind of stupid covering him up like that, but it was distracting, so there you go.

I'm not generally a sappy or sentimental person, but sometimes, I suppose, it's healthy to let some sweetness out every once in a while. Especially if someone who's heart has been truly broken, and has been hardened by a truly difficult life, gives you so much. I hardly deserve you...
 
For the one who makes me the happiest I've ever been, and the saddest when he is gone... I hope some day we live closer, wherever that may be.
 
(P.S. I have no intention of having him ever actually read this - I'd be far too embarrassed. I am just anonymously venting my own sad inner world for general consumption.)

I may explain certain parts of this later, but right now I want to sleep :)

I can be sentimental too, I guess. Though this still has to do with war, so it's still tragic to a degree. Oh well.
